Exploring the Prime Ceylon Cinnamon Growing Areas (World’s Largest Producer)
Ceylon Cinnamon is one of Sri Lanka’s primary exports. Cinnamon grows in the sabaragamuwa area and southern area of Sri Lanka. The main Ceylon Cinnamon growing areas are Matara, Galle, Kalutara, Ratnapura, and Gampaha areas in Sri Lanka. Mainly in the coastal belt Negambo to Matara areas in Sri Lanka.
Cinnamon is a sun-loving plant, and lots of sunshine is needed to grow. The most suitable temperature is between 25C and 32C. Rainfall should be in the region of 1,750-3,500 mm per annum.
