Moringa and benefits
Because of its nutrition, Moringa has a reputation of legendary proportions. The botanical name is “Moringa Oleifera.” It grows in Southeast Asia (Sri Lanka) and Africa.
To lead a healthy life and maintain your mental and physical health, you need clean air, clean water, and nutrients. Therefore, we can get these important nutrients by consuming healthy foods. People need to consume vegetables and drinks that are high in nutrition. We like to consume foods that are healthy and also delicious. Moringa tea is one of those drinks that can provide our bodies with proper nutrients.
“The Moringa leaves are high in nutrition.” It has many benefits. It is free of chemicals and good for human consumption as a refreshing and nutritious energy boost drink.
In Sri Lanka, it is grown in the dry zone where the temperature is high and it is a perennial plant growing up to four to five meters. There is no such insect attack when it comes to this plant. No insecticides or pesticides are needed, so there is food security.
We can use Moringa as a vegetable or as tea. Most people prefer to drink it as tea. By drinking this superfood tea, we can satisfy our daily nutritional needs.
How to make Moringa Tea
When you purchase our tea, keep it in a cool, dry place. Make sure not to leave it in open, moist places, so it will have a long shelf-life.
Use fresh, oxygenated water. pre-heated or hot tap water. Then, add 1/2 or 1 teaspoon of leaves for a single cup.
Heat the water and pour it directly over the leaves. (Use about one teaspoon of tea per cup.) Steep the leaves in an infuser for about four to five minutes, then remove the leaves (you’ll want to adjust the measurements and brewing times according to your own preferences).
Add a sweetener (honey) or a few lemon drops to your own preferences.
Recipe for Iced Moringa Tea
Use fresh, cool, oxygenated water. For a cup, use between 1/2 and 1 spoon (16 ounces of water).
Mix with a little honey and fresh ginger and orange juice to taste. Blend in your blender or shake vigorously for one minute. Add ice and refrigerate for 8 hours.
